Top Five Work At Home Opportunities

Sometimes, when looking for a job online, it can get confusing deciding what jobs are best and which

ones don't work out. The article below lists five of some of the top job opportunities for making

money online.

1. Article Writing

Article writing is pretty much just what it sounds like. You get paid to write articles on various

topics from home. The pay varies from company to company and from article to article. Some companies

pay twenty dollars per article, and some companies pay two. The articles you do also vary. The company

will assign you certain topics most of the time, but others will just give you a general idea and let

you run with it. Sometimes the pay depends upon the articles you write. The more in-depth and longer

the article is, the more you'll get paid. Article writing is simple and fun--it requires a little

research on most subjects, but the good thing about article writing is that if you get several article

titles on one topic, you've only got to research that topic one good time, and you'll have all the

material you need to write several articles.

2. Blog Writing

Blog writing consists of writing 'blogs' on pretty much any topic and getting paid for it. Lots of

Internet sites will pay you to sign up and write various blogs and publish them on the site. You get

a straight pay for initially writing the blog, and for every visitor that reads the blog after that,

you'll get a small amount paid to you for royalty. Blog writing is kind of like writing a tiny book,

and for every copy sold, money gets paid to you. Blog writing is simply on a smaller scale and instead

of copies being sold, you get paid when someone reads it. Lots of these sites will allow you to write

as many blogs as you want, and if you write them well, you may even get opportunities for other online

writing jobs.

3. Data Entry

Data entry is probably one of the most rewarding jobs you can do online. It's simple and fun and gives

lots of room for later advancement. A few simple programs are used in the process. You will probably

be given raw data and need to turn it into organized and presentable information that is easy to read.

All the details will be given to you by the company that employs you. This job usually pays rather well,

even online. Lots of employers that hire data entry workers notice good effort and will offer a promotion,

advancement, or raise later on. The bad part of data entry is that it can be a complicated occupation to

get, but when you can find it, it's worth your effort and you'll be glad that you tried.

4. Online Journalism

Online journalism is similar to article writing, only you'll probably be writing for a specific site or e-

zine. (An e-zine is an online magazine.) You'll probably be given specific things to write about, such as

a review on a movie or hair care product. The amount you are paid varies upon the company that employs you

and probably the topic you write on. It will probably also depend on the size of the article you're doing.

You will probably receive payment through an online pay site, a check sent to your home, or a money order.

Online employers have their own ways of paying people and that will also vary by company.

5. Online Editing/Freelance

Online editing and freelance jobs are all over the place. Lots of times, though, these advertisements are

scams. The legitimate ones, however, are very rewarding. They can be hard to get because the companies that

hire online editors and freelancers will  more than likely require experience. Some places don't, though.

It depends on the company you're applying to. Pretty much any major online job site will have lots of these

postings and descriptions. You'll usually send a resume and some samples of your work, and you'll hear back

from employers either by email or by phone. Online editing can be anything from editing your own work to someone

else's, and pay depends on the company. Freelance writers write whatever the company needs them to, and usually

have semi-creative control over the topics.
